OPD / Jeopardy

Jeopardy is our backup system for sick calls or emergencies. You will be contacted by the Chief on call in case you are called in. Please keep your phone ringer on loud, and be within 1 hour of the hospital while you are on Jeopardy.

AM Jeopardy - If you are not called in, you have a wide range of clinical and education experiences (OPD) to choose from during the day. On your first morning, stop by the Chief’s Office to select your outpatient clinics for the rotation.

You are expected to attend Morning Report, Grand Rounds, Prof Rounds, and noon conference.

PM Jeopardy - If you are not called in for a night shift, you are expected to show up at the hospital at 4pm to assist with admissions. The shift runs from 4pm-11pm, with your last admission before 10pm (i.e. 9:59pm is ok) so that you have time to write your notes.

for hospital holidays - you do not need to come to the hospital unless called in
